A ribbon cutting was held Friday May 31st for Wesselman Park pickleball courts.
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America, and Wesselman Park has become the go-to place to play in Indiana. Sixteen new courts are now open, making the park home to the largest number of pickleball courts in any Indiana park. Not only is there plenty of space to play, but there’s plenty of space to watch as well with six spectator patios and a grandstand. Timer-controlled LED lights, an events lawn and a new restroom facility create a convenient and fun environment where people can play and hang out for long periods of time.
Hafer is proud to be a part of this exciting development in Evansville Parks and Recreation. Not only does this project contribute to health and engagement within the Evansville community, but we hope it will become a hotspot for pickleball tournaments and attract nationwide talent.
