Saint Nicholas Catholic Church
Established in 1967, St. Nicholas Chapel’s congregation first met in an unused church next to the former Santa's Toy Factory building. When full parish status was granted, the first priority was to build a worthy place of worship. The new church was designed to blend in with the rural character of the area while also being a prominent part of the landscape.
Constructed on 6.4 acres of land, the church consists of a central sanctuary and narthex with a classroom wing for Sunday school and an administrative office wing. Located on the lower level of the sanctuary is a community gathering space along with a kitchen where social events and meetings can take place.
A simple church for a simple community, the minimally detailed design reflects the community’s desire for simplicity. Parishioners are proud to call Saint Nicholas their church and have plans to expand to accommodate their growing membership.
