Innovation and research are at the heart of WVU Medicine’s J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. With a promise to provide world-class care to its patients, the renovation to the sixth-floor neurosurgery unit required attention of the same caliber.

Maximizing the flow and efficiency of this bustling hospital’s clinical spaces was vital. As a large hospital with a growing number of patients, it was critical this project was completed in several phases to allow staff to continue providing life-changing care. The newly designed spaces enhance patient care with a state-of-the-art neuro OR, an epilepsy monitoring unit, and thoughtfully integrated PACU and nurse stations for seamless prep, recovery and observation. The waiting room provides a peaceful environment that brings a sense of calm and comfort to families.
