The Freeland Clubhouse
The University of Evansville’s Freeland Clubhouse marks a new era for UE Athletics.
The university’s athletic department sought to continue the baseball program’s forward motion by creating a facility inspired by the history preceding it. UE baseball leaders envisioned a Clubhouse where players could grow — together as a team, as individuals, and as friends.
More than just a sports facility, The Freeland Clubhouse includes spaces for training, bonding and recharging. From dedicated team-building spaces to areas meant for relaxation, every corner was designed to support the development of student-athletes. The environment also serves as a powerful recruiting tool, inspiring prospective players to envision themselves as Purple Aces.
Student athletes must have a strong work ethic and an undeniable passion for their sport. The Clubhouse aims to foster their success on the field, in the classroom and in life. The Clubhouse includes a locker room featuring bold Ace branding, a refueling station, study areas and a student lounge — all preparing players to tackle everything their day demands.
A state-of-the-art media room accommodates press conferences and player interviews, while administrative offices offer coaches a space to strategize and meet with potential athletes and their families. An outdoor second-floor balcony overlooks the field, an ideal viewing spot for fans during games and even practices.
Throughout the Clubhouse, players and recruits will encounter vibrant Ace purple, motivational quotes and energizing graphics — each element reinforcing the pride and passion of Purple Ace baseball. Each space inside the Clubhouse embodies the spirit, dedication and excellence that define the University of Evansville.
Named in honor of Colorado Rockies pitcher and former UE baseball player Kyle Freeland and his wife Ashley, The Freeland Clubhouse stands as a tribute to the legacy of UE Baseball, fueling hard work and success today while paving the way for generations of Aces to come.
