Henderson Community College
Bookstore Renovation
Henderson Community College's bookstore, constructed in 1972, was experiencing structural and functional issues. So, the decision was made to build a new bookstore in a location on campus that would become the new student hub.
Space along the first floor of the academic and technical building was renovated to make way for the bright, airy Barnes and Noble College Bookstore. The space was re-imagined with school colors and branding throughout. Store shelves and displays make it easy for students to peruse and find merchandise. Students have access to course books and academic supplies but can now also enjoy a cup of coffee at a coffee shop inside the store.
Both staff and students are excited about the new location as the bookstore is a catalyst for future growth in that part of campus.
