After Wheeler Concert Hall sustained significant water damage, the University of Evansville decided it was time to update the storied venue, which is located inside Krannert Hall of Art and Music. The project includes the concert hall’s complete renovation with replacement of seating, finishes and ceilings. New acoustical treatments will be added, as well as new lighting and audio-visual theatrical components. The stage will also be expanded, as well as seating. Improved ADA accessibility and seating is another piece of the project.

The Krannert Gallery, located just outside Wheeler inside the Krannert Hall of Art and Music, is also getting a facelift. That will include new finishes, ceilings, display shelving, lighting and mechanical systems, as well as improved ADA accessibility. The improvements to both Wheeler Concert Hall and Krannert Gallery position UE’s Music Conservatory to better impact its students and the Evansville community.
