Independence Bank
New Locations
Experiencing rapid growth throughout Western Kentucky, Independence Bank needed to increase the number of locations to not only better serve their customers, but also reach a larger market. Hafer was asked to design three new locations that included Henderson, Bowling Green and Paducah. Each of these locations provide banking operations and support services, as well as space for community functions.
The design for these new bank locations was inspired by Independence Hall in Philadelphia, which was built in 1753 and where the United States Declaration of Independence was debated and adopted. This nationally historic building gave way to the unique characters of Independence Bank such as the stained-glass rotunda dome that is visible from both floors and the circular balcony on the second floor. Despite the traditional appearance, each building incorporates highly efficient HVAC and electrical systems as well as the latest technologies.
These new locations emanate the Independence Bank brand through and through. It was important that the design of these facilities complemented the messaging and branding that Independence Bank wants to portray to their customers.
