Western Kentucky University

While only one building exists on campus currently, it was recognized that the next building would set the direction for the next several phases of expansion. In order to accommodate growing student enrollment now and in the future, Hafer was asked to complete a master plan and feasibility study for this next building.

A new building on campus was priority. A site analysis was completed to determine the best location for the building and a program specified the particular spaces needed and the corresponding size of each space. Three design options were produced and presented to WKU. After a design was selected, the conceptual floor plan was created along with 3D renderings and anticipated building costs. It is also important to WKU that this building meets LEED Silver certification standards.

This much anticipated building is currently waiting on funding for construction.
