Resurrection Catholic Church
Church Renovation
Resurrection Catholic Church has experienced a growth in membership, mainly young adults, for the past several years. Since the church first opened in 1981, it had not undergone any renovations. With a dim and outdated sanctuary and limited seating available for new members, the church was in desperate need of a renovation. After raising funds for nearly three years, the church was able to renovate the interiors and replace their roof.
To make room for additional seating, the choir area was relocated and walls were removed to create space in the sanctuary. Towards the back of the sanctuary, a new room was added that can be used as a gathering space or a cry room during mass. Additional interior improvements included:
• Replacement of flooring
• New upholstery for pews and kneelers
• New wall covering replacing the old textured walls
• New ceiling fans and light fixtures
• Installation of state-of-the-art technology
• Stations of the Cross received back lighting
The investment in the technology and interior upgrades has been greatly appreciated by the members. The remodel allows the church to more effectively serve its members with more space to worship and aids in building community among the fellowship.
