The Exchange

The new Fort Meade Main Exchange brings a modern shopping experience to soldiers, retirees, their families and others at the fort. This new shopping center is a one-stop shop and includes retail space and a stockroom, administrative offices, shops and service areas, a food court and mall public space.

The exterior features brick façade and precast CMU detailing. There is space for outdoor dining; a customer pickup/delivery area; and a three-bay, elevated loading dock. Inside, clerestory windows and skylights project natural light inside the mall and food court. Wood portal entrances greet customers at each storefront, along with the natural polished concrete throughout the mall. In addition to the Main Exchange retail store, the mall features a salon, floral shop, tactical shop, Game Stop, Pro Image Sports, an optometry office, the fort’s pharmacy and more. Offerings inside the food court include a Denny’s Fresh Express, Boston Market, Domino’s, Starbucks, Charley’s and Subway. Each retail and restaurant storefront follows each brand’s standards while also reflecting those of the Exchange.

This new Main Exchange provides a variety of goods and services that will ultimately improve the quality of life for soldiers and their families.
