Matthew Maloney, AIA

Architect

Matthew is all ears for our clients. He listens to fully understand what they need and want, which allows him to tackle projects with understanding and vigor. While he has vast experience in a variety of our markets, he enjoys designing for our K-12 clients the most. He loves to design effective and enjoyable spaces for them to learn and teach.

As a nature person, he loves spending time out in a forest or kayaking on a lake (Fun fact: his family has made it a goal to visit every national park in the U.S). And of course, Matthew’s love for nature influences his architectural interests as he’s fascinated by biomimicry, the practice of emulating elements of nature in design.

Matthew hails from the Chicagoland area, but now loves calling Southern Illinois home. He and his wife, Rebecca, have two young daughters, Natalie and Marina, as well as two cats, Luca and Sheba. In addition to spending time in nature, Matthew likes to travel, read, draw, and create digital models and animations in his free time.
