Meet Ben Howard. He’s part of the crew at Hafer’s Carbondale, IL office and he’s an integral part of the team. He grew up in the AEC industry as his dad owned and operated an engineering firm and now Ben has four decades of experience in the industry. We love Ben’s creative thinking and innovative ideas that make our clients' visions a reality.

Ben loves to meet new people and travel. That’s great for Hafer because his position takes him all over the U.S. for work. For each project, Ben starts with the goal of building good working relationships knowing how imperative relationships are to every project. He stays focused and organized to have success considering how much communication and understanding are needed for projects across the nation.

He has a big love for life and all that it has to offer. Catch him on the weekends and you’ll find him outside hiking, camping, canoeing—anything outdoors—or at his church running audio and visual components for worship. He also loves cliff diving, bungee jumping, and all things that get his adrenaline going (sky diving is on his bucket list). He holds the titles of artist, musician, (self-proclaimed) adrenaline junky, dad and grandpa.
