The groundbreaking ceremony for Granted House of Hope happened this week, and we are beyond excited for this magical project to come to life. Granted, formerly known as Wish Upon A Star, is an organization that not only grants wishes but assists families with children who have terminal or life-threatening illnesses. The House of Hope will increase the organization’s ability to serve families and their children as they learn to navigate challenges and connect with each other.
The new facility will include many services such as an education center, teen lounge, music room and a child sensory playroom. There will be many outdoor areas as well, including a family pavilion, grassy play areas and sitting areas, an all-inclusive playground, a prayer garden and a Wish Children Memory Walk to honor and memorialize the 100-plus Wish children who have passed away since the organization began in 1985.
