Ribbon Cutting Held for Henderson Municipal Power & Light

We were delighted to see employees and the Henderson community appear this week at the ribbon cutting for the new HMPL headquarters. HMPL has provided electricity to residents for over 125 years. The new headquarters was designed to not only serve as a better work environment for employees but to also better serve the community in emergency situations and day-to-day life.

The HMPL headquarters houses all departments and incorporates HMPL history into its design, including a vintage company sign from the original building and an electric wire wall that serves as a privacy barrier for a conference room. Training rooms, a meter shop, a garage, a warehouse and locker rooms were integrated into the new headquarters as well.

Hafer is honored and overjoyed to design this facility that benefits the Henderson community and its workforce. To learn more about the project, click here.
