We're looking to add an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to the team in our Evansville, IN, office. We are looking for someone excited about the possibilities ahead as we grow. Hafer's team of architects, engineers, planners and interior designers thrives on working together to create holistic designs for our workplace, education, community and healthcare clients.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:
• Lead the design and construction administration of electrical systems in various market segments.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations while maintaining design efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout project phases.
• Elevated level of experience with power distribution, lighting, low voltage cabling systems, building fire alarm & security systems for commercial, healthcare, government and education facilities.
• Cultivate positive client relationships while working on their projects with a focus on client satisfaction
• Work closely with project stakeholders to develop custom electrical solutions that enhance energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness while meeting necessary regulations and ensuring both functionality reliability.
• Develop technical documentation, including system specifications, technical reports, narratives, and construction documents for electrical systems.
• Work closely with the office leadership to expand the regional portfolio.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 9+ years of related electrical engineering experience for building projects.
• Knowledge and use of AutoCAD/Revit and other engineering software programs.
• Must be a team player and enjoy working with people
